Spooky's Pop
Spooky was a little ghost who lived in a large, abandoned house out near the cranberry bog. He loved his home and all the creaks and groans the boards made when the winds of autumn blew through the cracks around the windows. It sounded like a symphony and when the loose shutter on the parlor window slammed back and forth, it made Spooky feel that much more at home.
Spooky had lived in this house for as long as he could remember and he was very much alone. Being alone was fine for a while, but Spooky longed for company. Being a ghost though, he felt it was his responsibility to moan and groan when the township children and teenagers crept up and into the house on a dare. He could feel himself materialize into a vaporous form that everyone could see. Anyone who was brave enough to venture into the house on a dark night usually left in a flurry of thudding feet and shrieks upon Spooky's appearance.
